There are 2 of those function buttons.. They are the audio control buttons 1 to 4. They control various audio mode functions like switching between Radio/CD etc. I don't know what the first one is. To get an estimate for the repair, look at the corners where the buttons are fixed. One of the greatest solutions is to replace the control buttons. Resolve the adjustment issues and restore the tightness to the initial levels. Button firmness should be increased, and they should be properly fixed.

As above, in my ST-3 the "Phone" button appears to have stopped working! Calls work fine for example I can accept a call and hang up etc but if I want to dial a number and press "Phone" to go into the options for redial, phone book or dial a number etc not a single thing happens!
